Dr. Shannon Cloninger
Veterinarian, Co-Owner
Dr. Cloninger grew up in Laytonville, California. She initially attended UC
Davis before transferring to Sonoma State University, where
she received her Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2000.
She graduated with honors from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine
in
2004, and attended a surgical externship at Veterinary Surgical
Specialists in Concord, California. After practicing in Portland,
Oregon for four years, Shannon joined Analy Veterinary Hospital, working with Dr. Camp for one year before she and
Dr. Alexander purchased Analy Veterinary Hospital in January of 2008.
Dr. Cloninger loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but her greatest
interests are in surgery and pain management.
In her spare time, Dr. Cloninger enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, and their identical twin boys, Boden and Oakley. The family has one chocolate lab, Marley, and plan to add more pets to the household as soon as the babies are a little older.
Dr. Patricia Alexander
Veterinarian, Co-Owner 
Dr. Alexander is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received dual
bachelors degrees (French Literature and Language, and Biology) from
the University of Virginia. She graduated from the University of
Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine with Honors. In 2001 she did
an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the prestigious
Animal Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Alexander practiced in Portland, Oregon for several years and for
the last three years has been at PetCare, one of Santa Rosa's premier
facilities for emergency and specialty care. Dr. Alexander is also
licensed in veterinary acupuncture and is able to offer an integrative
approach to veterinary medicine drawing from both Western and Eastern
healing philosophies. She is dedicated to offering compassionate care
and promoting balanced, healthy, comfortable, and happy lives for our
pets.
In her free time, Dr Alexander likes to be outdoors, garden, travel,
scuba dive, and of course, spend time with her three cats: Amelia,
Turtle and Digger.
Dr. Jessica Baldwin
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Baldwin is originally from the South Bay, although she spent several years on the East Coast in Virginia. Prior to attending Veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary receptionist and technician in San Francisco.
Dr. Baldwin graduated from UC Davis in 1992 with degrees in textile design and
psychology. She then attended UC Davis School of veterinary
medicine and graduated in 2002. Dr. Baldwin worked in the Sacramento area for several
years after graduation, before moving to Sonoma County where she has been living and
practicing veterinary medicine for the past four years.
Dr. Baldwin enjoys working with many species including dogs, cats, reptiles and birds
(including chickens.)
In her free time, Dr. Baldwin enjoys gardening with native plants and creating butterfly/bee
habitats, camping with her family, and home construction projects using
recycled materials. She lives with her husband and two children, her
dog (Tater the doberman,) three cats (Big Dude, Mimi, and Zoe,)
two parrots (Pickle and Hazel,) one frog (Shell,) and 45 chickens
(Vitamin the rooster and his girls.)
Shelagh Hodges
Receptionist 
A long time veteran of Analy Veterinary Hospital, Shelagh is one of our
dynamic receptionists as well as part of the administrative business
staff. She can often be found up front, cooing over a newborn puppy or
playing with a kitten, and never forgets a name or face! Shelagh is a
people-person, dedicated to furthering client education and helping
clients to overcome the daily hurdles that go along with pet ownership.
In her free time, Shelagh enjoys
fishing, camping, and watching Giants Baseball. She lives in Petaluma
with her two cats, Mr. Lucky and Mr. Britches.
Terrie (and Jake)
Guistino
Receptionist
As one of our receptionists, Terrie will be among the first people to
greet you when you walk in the door at Analy Veterinary Hospital.
Originally from Akron, Ohio, Terrie has been living in
California for the past 30 years.
When she is not working, you can often find Terrie at the beach with her dogs, out in her garden, or enjoying a good book with her grandchildren. She lives with her husband, Ross. Terrie and Ross share their home with 4 dogs (Jake, Mena, Rosie, and McGee,) 2 cats (Lefty and Penni,) and 2 birds (Sky and Douglas.)
Linda Youmans
Receptionist
Linda is one of the newest members to join our staff, but she comes to us with over twenty years of experience in the veterinary field. As she was a practice manager for many years, Linda finds that interacting with owners as well as their pets makes her the happiest. Linda prides herself on being a good listener. She is very compassionate and will always put the client/patient first. When not at work, you can find Linda tending to her garden, hiking with her yellow lab, Shelby or traveling with her husband.
Kate Ross
Lead Veterinary Technician
A 13-year and multi-talented veteran of Analy Veterinary Hospital,
Kate can be found training new staff, working up front in reception, or
helping out in the back – sometimes all three at once! She has a love
for providing quality and compassionate care for animals of all sorts.
Kate’s son, Orlin, is the focal
point of her life outside of work. Kate grew up in Santa Rosa and she
continues to live in the area with her son, her two dogs, and two cats.
Ramon Urdaneta
Lead Veterinary Technician 
Ramon is originally from central Mexico, where he worked as a licensed
veterinarian for several years. After moving to California, Ramon
worked for eight years in Orange County before moving to Sonoma County.
He has been working at Analy Veterinary Hospital since 1994.
Ramon lives with his wife and four children in Santa Rosa.
Deanna Walker
Kennel Attendant 
Deanna was born and raised in Novato. When she is not taking care
of the boarding animals at Analy Veterinary Hospital, she enjoys
spending time with family, her animals (one cat, and
her Miniature Schnauzers, Lassie and Mister), and gardening.
Animals have always been an important part of Deanna's life and she is a welcome addition to our staff.
Crystal Brown
Registered Veterinary Technician
Crystal has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years. She has worked in many settings, including emergency facilities and general practice. She recently took and passed the board exams
to become certified in the field. Crystal has a very easy going personality, which makes her a favorite for working with anxious dogs and grumpy kitties.
Crystal has two daughters and a multitude of four legged "children."
Megan Giovacchini
Registered Veterinary Technician
Megan graduated from Western Career College Veterinary Technician School and became licensed in June of 2009. Megan is very patient oriented and has an amazing attention to detail. She enjoys the art and science of anesthesia, dentistry and parasitology, and excels at client education in these areas.
Megan has two dogs with whom she enjoys hiking and trips to the beach. She also has one cat, an eight year old California Spangled she acquired from the shelter. She enjoys reading, music, road trips, family activities and a good comedy movie.
Jennifer Babas Certified Veterinary Technician
Jen is currently working on her hours to sit for the board exam to become a registered veterinary technician. She is also in school working towards her undergraduate degree and has the ultimate goal of going to veterinary school. She has a great interest in dentistry and clinical pathology.
Jen enjoys spending time with her husband and their pets. They have two Pomeranians, Hercules and Maverick, and two cats, Rascal and Eddie. They love to go camping and take trips to the beach. Jen also really enjoys cooking and scrap booking.
Robert Hughes
Veterinary/Kennel Technician
Robert was raised in Santa Rosa and graduated with a BA in Economics from CSU Chico in 2003. After working 12 years in the hospitality industry, Robert decided to pursue a new career in the animal care industry. Robert with graduate from the Veterinary Technician Certificate Program at SRJC next semester and will begin prerequisite classes to achieve his ultimate goal of attending veterinary school at UC Davis.
Robert enjoys spending time with his wife Lea, his family and friends. Robert is also an extreme sports enthusiast who never misses a SF Giants baseball game. He also plays baseball for a local league during the summer. Robert currently has no pets, but looks forward to starting a four legged family soon.
