Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all have a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather, spend time with loved ones, and have a fantastic holiday weekend in general. Just wanting to remind everyone to take extra care of your furry little loved ones. Fireworks can be very scary for pets. Please be sure that they are safely secured in the house or yard so that no one goes missing once the show starts. If you think they need sedation if excessively fearful, please be sure to contact you vet ahead of time. Some pets also do very well with Rescue Remedy for stressful events. Also, be careful what Fido eats during any weekend BBQs. Fatty or rich foods can cause gi upset, and bones can certainly act as foreign bodies. So have fun and be safe and Happy 4th of July!!!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Pet Fair on Sunday! We had a great time and hope that you all did as well. It was great to see everyone and actually have some free time to talk to people outside of the office setting. You are all amazing people and we are happy to continue serving you and this community.

A client came to me the other day with an amazing story I'd like to share with you. While hiking, their dog fell into the river and became unconscious. By the time the heroic pet owners could get their dog out of the river, the dog was not breathing. Immediately, the owners began performing CPR on their dog and IT WORKED!!!!! The owners and the dog are doing well. So I encourage everyone to learn a little more about CPR for your pets. You never know when it may save a life. I am adding a link for further information of CPR for pets and encourage everyone to check it out!

February is National Pet Dental Health month! Pets get tartar and cavities just like people do! Unfortunately, these often go unrecognized until there is a more severe issue such as dental pain, or infection. In recognition of National Pet Dental Health month, Analy Veterinary Hospital is offering 10% off of all dental related products and services. Please call to schedule your pets' dental exam.
