Dr. Shannon Cloninger Veterinarian, Co-Owner
Dr. Cloninger grew up in Mendocino County.
She graduated with honors from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, and attended a surgical externship at Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Concord, California. After practicing in Portland, Oregon for four years, Shannon joined Analy Veterinary Hospital. She and Dr. Alexander purchased Analy Veterinary Hospital in January of 2009.Dr. Cloninger loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but her greatest interests are in surgery and pain management.
In her spare time, Dr. Cloninger enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, their identical twin boys, and Marley the chocolate lab.
Dr. Patricia Alexander Veterinarian, Co-Owner
Dr. Alexander is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received dual bachelors degrees (French Literature and Language, and Biology) from the University of Virginia. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine with Honors. In 2001 she did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Alexander practiced in Portland, Oregon for several years before moving to Sonoma County where she spent three years at PetCare. Dr. Alexander is also licensed in veterinary acupuncture and is able to offer an integrative approach to veterinary medicine drawing from both Western and Eastern healing philosophies. She is dedicated to offering compassionate care and promoting balanced, healthy, comfortable, and happy lives for our pets.
In her free time, Dr Alexander likes to be outdoors, garden, travel, scuba dive, and of course, spend time with her kitties and her son.
Dr. Jessica Baldwin Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Baldwin is originally from the South Bay, although she spent several years on the East Coast in Virginia. Prior to attending Veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary receptionist and technician in San Francisco.
Dr. Baldwin graduated from UC Davis in 1992 with degrees in textile design and psychology. She then attended UC Davis School of veterinary
medicine and graduated in 2002. Dr. Baldwin worked in the Sacramento area for several
years after graduation, before moving to Sonoma County where she has been living and
practicing veterinary medicine for several years.
Dr. Baldwin enjoys working with many species including dogs, cats, reptiles and birds
(including chickens.) In her free time, Dr. Baldwin enjoys gardening with native plants and creating butterfly/bee habitats, camping with her family, and home construction projects using
recycled materials. She lives with her husband and two children, her
dog ,cats, two parrots, one frog, and 45 chickens.
Dr. Tanya Moeller Associate Veterinarian/Ultrasonographer
Dr. Moeller earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz. She moved to Kansas to attend veterinary school at Kansas State. After graduating, she completed and internship and residency in internal medicine at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City.
You may know Dr. Moeller from Petcare Veterinary Hospital where she has worked for many years in internal medicine. She has many interests including oncology and ultrasound, and has recently started a mobile ultrasound practice. Dr. Moeller lives locally and has many pets including dogs, cats, parrots, and chickens.
Dr. Moeller has become busy with her own ultrasound practice and is now only with us sporadically, but continues to consult on cases.
Shelagh Hodges Front Office Staff
A long time veteran of Analy Veterinary Hospital, Shelagh is one of our dynamic receptionists as well as part of the administrative business staff. She can often be found up front, cooing over a newborn puppy or playing with a kitten, and never forgets a name or face! Shelagh is a people-person, dedicated to furthering client education and helping clients to overcome the daily hurdles that go along with pet ownership.
In her free time, Shelagh enjoys fishing, camping, and watching Giants Baseball. She lives in Petaluma with her two cats, Mr. Lucky and Mr. Britches.

Kate Ross Lead Veterinary Technician
A 15+ year and multi-talented veteran of Analy Veterinary Hospital, Kate can be found training new staff, managing the hospitalized pets and incoming cases, and even intermittently filling in as reception - sometimes all three at once! She has a love for providing quality and compassionate care for animals of all sorts.
Kate's son, Orlin, is the focal point of her life outside of work. Kate grew up in Santa Rosa and she continues to live in the area with her son, her two dogs, and two cats.
Deanna Walker Kennel Attendant
Deanna was born and raised in Novato. When she is not taking care of the boarding animals at Analy Veterinary Hospital, she enjoys spending time with family, her animals (one cat, and her Miniature Schnauzers, Lassie and Mister), and gardening.
Animals have always been an important part of Deanna's life and she is a welcome addition to our staff.
Crystal Brown Registered Veterinary Technician
Crystal has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years. She has worked in many settings, including emergency facilities and general practice. She recently took and passed the board exams
to become certified in the field. Crystal has a very easy going personality, which makes her a favorite for working with anxious dogs and grumpy kitties.
Crystal has two daughters and a multitude of four legged "children."
Malia Richardson Veterinary Technician
Malia is a Sonoma County native, born in Stewarts Point. She earned her Associates degree from SRJC and completed the Veterinary Technician program at Western Career College in Sacramento. Malia has been working in veterinary medicine since 2005. Most of her experience has been focused in emergency medicine, and she carries that valuable experience to general practice. Other than emergency care, Malia has a strong drive for client education and she works very hard to give clients the best education/information regarding pet health and safety. Malia lives in Santa Rosa with her three dogs and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys fishing, four wheeling and reading.
